Friday finds 714 new COVID-19 cases in B.C., 11 more deaths

VICTORIA — B.C. is reporting 714 new cases of COVID-19 Friday (Oct. 1), including 205 new cases in Interior Health.

The numbers come courtesy of an update to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control COVID-19 dashboard.

There are now 6,317 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, with 1,360 active within Interior Health.

The BCCDC reports 328 patients in hospital, with 138 in critical care.

Eleven more people have died of the virus, pushing the province’s death toll to 1,973.
