KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: Interior Health added five more schools to the school COVID-19 exposure website early Wednesday afternoon for a total of seven relevant exposure events.

They are St. Ann’s Academy (Sept. 20 to 23), Pacific Way (Sept. 20), Dallas Elementary (Sept. 20 to 22), Logan Lake Elementary (Sept. 20 & 22) and Valleyview Secondary (Sept. 16 to 23).

EARLIER: Interior Health confirms its school COVID-19 exposure notification website is now completely up-to-date.

On its site, IH says the only relevant exposures — that is, within that past 14 days — in Kamloops are at Aberdeen Elementary School (Sept. 16 to 23) and Juniper Ridge Elementary (Sept. 17 to 22).

However, IH notices have been sent out to parents at two additional Kamloops schools for possible exposures during the 14-day window — Arthur Stevenson Elementary (Sept. 16 to 20) and St. Ann’s Academy (Sept. 20).

The notices have been made public by the volunteers who run the B.C. School COVID Tracker (BCSCT) website.

In an email to CFJC Today, IH says it directly informs staff, parents and students of potential COVID-19 exposures before posting the notices to its exposures website.

BCSCT has exposures listed for six other Kamloops schools since the beginning of the school year that are now outside of the 14-day infection window — Twin Rivers Education Centre, Sa-Hali Secondary, Westsyde Secondary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, South Kamloops Secondary and Dallas Elementary.
