Big jump in COVID-19 cases in Kamloops last week: BCCDC

KAMLOOPS — While many local health areas (LHA) in the B.C. Interior showed decreases in COVID-19 case counts last week, the same could not be said for Kamloops.

According to the latest COVID-19 data made available by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) broken down by LHA, Kamloops had 219 new cases for the week of Sept. 19 to 25. That’s an increase of 61 from the previous week.

That’s contrasted by a big drop in the Vernon area, which was down by 56 to 56 cases.
