KAMLOOPS — Kamloops secondary students took part in a global climate action strike Friday (Sept. 24).
The teens gathered at Riverside Park, marching with signs and hearing speeches under the theme, ‘uproot the system’. The event is part of Fridays for Future, a youth organization founded by noted young environmentalist Greta Thunberg.
The Kamloops event paid special emphasis to this summer’s catastrophic wildfire season.
