Man charged with second-degree murder in Spallumcheen shooting case

ARMSTRONG, B.C. — A man has been charged in relation to Monday’s (Sept. 20) shooting in Spallumcheen that resulted in one person’s death.
BC Prosecution Service approved a second-degree murder charge against 46-year-old Jevon Daniel Smith of Spallumcheen in Vernon Provincial Court Tuesday.
“We are asking anyone who had contact with Mr. Smith in the hours preceding this incident to contact the Southeast District Major Crime unit at 1-877-987-8477,” S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet states.
Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP say further updates will be limited as the matter is now before the courts.
