Conservative Party of Canada’s Frank Caputo wins Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding

KAMLOOPS – The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) has reclaimed the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding in Monday’s federal election.

Newcomer Frank Caputo has been declared the winner of the riding which had been held for the last 13 years by Cathy McLeod of the CPC.

The Canadian Press declared Caputo the winner with 95/297 polls reporting. Caputo had earned 40 per cent of the vote, nearly 1,200 votes ahead of the NDP’s Bill Sundhu.
