Two seriously injured in Highway 5 crash north of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — At least two people were injured in a serious crash north of Kamloops Friday afternoon (Sept. 17).

According to B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), the call came in at 2:16 p.m., along Highway 5 near Orchard Lake Road, about 15 kilometres north of Heffley-Louis Creek Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash and BCEHS says two patients were taken by ground ambulance to hospital in serious condition.

An air ambulance was also dispatched but was cancelled at the scene.

As of late afternoon, Drive B.C. was not reporting any delays on the highway at that location.
