KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: CFJC Today has been made aware of school exposures at Westsyde Secondary (Sept. 7) and Twin Rivers Education Centre (Sept. 8)

EARLIER: The first COVID-19 exposure at a Kamloops school this academic year has been found at the school that saw the most exposures in the city last year.

Parents of some Grade 9 students at Sa-Hali Secondary received a letter from Interior Health Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 14), saying there was an exposure recorded last Friday (Sept. 10).

Students who do not have COVID-19 symptoms and whose families have not been contacted by public health officials should be monitored for symptoms until Sept. 24, but can continue to attend school as normal. Those who develop symptoms should self-isolate and get tested.
