Evacuation Order Lifted

TNRD partially downgrades evacuation order for properties impacted by July Mountain wildfire

UPDATE (11:00 a.m.): An evacuation alert was partially rescinded for 135 properties south of Merritt that were impacted by the Cascades Complex wildfire.

The following properties in the Brookmere and Coldwater area have been given the all clear:

• 1409 to 1485 Boston Bar Trail
• 4180 Coalmont Rd.
• 5780 to 6180 Coalmont Rd.
• 1020 to 1450 Coldwater Rd.
• 2545 to 2721 Coldwater Rd.
• 964 to 1627 Covert Pl.
• 488 to 544 Harlow Moore Dr.
• 7033 to 8695 Hwy. 5A
• 9440 to 10884 Hwy. 97C
• 3485 to 4580 Iron Mountain Rd.
• 4625 and 5395 Kane Valley Rd.
• 585 to 720 Mountainview Rd.
• 921 and 990 Patchett Rd.
• 2105 to 2725 Patchett Rd.
• 2141 to 2461 Peterson Rd.
• 2060 and 2140 Suttie Rd.
• 4600 Tillery Rd.
• 381 to 609 Wild Rose Dr.
• any other properties located within the area noted on the attached map
  (Thompson-Nicola Regional District).

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) partially downgraded an evacuation order Monday (Aug. 30) morning.

The evacuation order for 52 properties near Brookmere due to the Cascades Complex (July Mountain) wildfire is now an evacuation alert. Residents in the following properties may return home:

Should conditions change, the TNRD said an evacuation order could be reinstated as necessary.

Residents returning home should fill the gas tank for all their personal vehicles and bring a minimum of three days of food and essential supplies with them as local grocery stores may not have adequate stock.
