RCMP seek missing man in “high risk” case

LILLOOET — RCMP in Lillooet is hoping the public can help them in their search for a missing 75-year old man.

They’re looking for Joseph Zabotel, who went missing from near his residence in the 177-block of Highway 99, between Lillooet and Cache Creek. He was last seen Sunday, August 29th around noon and was wearing a blue checkered shirt and a blue cap with the word “Sylvania” on it.

Constable Richard Wright of the Ashcroft RCMP says it’s a high-risk case because Zabotel has dementia, and Wright says he was on foot, and improperly clothed for the cool weather.
