Horgan to visit Logan Lake today
VICTORIA – Premier John Horgan will be paying a visit to the community of Logan Lake today (Aug. 27).
Logan Lake was able to fend off the Tremont Creek wildfire earlier this month with the help of several fire crews from other B.C. communities and FireSmart measures it had taken.
Horgan was criticized for a lack of response to requests for military support from the Chair of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District and the Mayor of Logan Lake as the wildfire bore down on the community. Horgan was vacationing at the time, although his staff said he was briefed on the situation daily.
