B.C. records 867 new COVID-19 cases Friday, three new virus-related deaths in Interior Health
VICTORIA — The province is reporting further growth in COVID-19 case counts today (Aug. 27) with 867 new cases identified in the last 24 hours.
Of those, 350 new virus cases were reported in Interior Health (IH). Health officials also say there have been three new virus-related fatalities in the last day – all within IH.
The overall total in B.C. now stands at 1,807. There are now 5,657 active cases around the province, and of those 159 people are in hospital, with 84 in intensive care.
Meantime Interior Health continues to lead the province with the most active cases at 2,190 as of Friday.
