Kamloops NorthPaws name new mascot Homer

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws are preparing to start play in the West Coast League next summer and now have a name for their mascot.

The mascot’s name is Homer, not named after Homer Simpson but rather after the home run.

The team received 150 submissions and 60 names, but shortlisted the better names and concluded with Homer.
