Properties north of Highway 1, west of Kamloops given all clear by TNRD

KAMLOOPS — More than 300 properties were given all clear status by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Monday (Aug. 23) evening.

The TNRD rescinded one evacuation alert north of Highway 1 near Kamloops Lake, and partially rescinded two evacuation alerts: one south of Cache Creek and another south of Logan Lake. All three alerts were issued due to the threat of the Tremont Creek wildfire.

The 262 properties north of Highway 1 have been given the all clear, while properties south of Highway 1 and all of Walhachin remain on evacuation alert.

The 15 properties south of Cache Creek include:

  • 3165 and 3205 Barnes Lake Rd.
  • 2000 to 2480 Hwy. 97C
  • 3700 Hwy. 97C
  • 2606 Kirkland Ranch Rd.
  • any other properties located within the area noted on the attached map

The 59 properties south of Logan Lake include:

  • 7020 to 7061 Brolin Rd.
  • 8625 Chataway Lake
  • 6745 to 6833 Foley Rd.
  • 6880 to 9865 Hwy. 97C
  • 7297 and 7385 Rey Lake Rd.
  • 9192 to 9196 Woodman Rd.
  • any other properties located within the area noted on the attached map

Elsewhere, the TNRD gave the all clear an area impacted by the Sparks Lake wildfire.

There are 11 properties north of Bonaparte Park that are no longer on evacuation alert: 8400 Akehurst Lake, 7800 Caverhill Lake, 8280 Darlington Creek FSR, and 3381 to 3437 Jamieson-Spruce Grove FSR. The property at 6620 Jamieson-Spruce Grove FSR and other properties shown in yellow on the attached map remain on alert.

Should conditions change, the TNRD said an evacuation alert or order could be reinstated as necessary.
