B.C. COVID-19 hospitalizations reach 138; new case count at 641 Tuesday

VICTORIA — B.C. has recorded another 641 cases of COVID-19 Tuesday (Aug. 24), including 273 in Interior Health (IH).

The figures are included in an update from B.C.’s Ministry of Health.

The active caseload has risen to 5,357 in B.C., with 38 per cent of those in IH.

Hospitalizations have increased to 138, with 78 in intensive care.

Of all active cases, 70 per cent are fully unvaccinated and another 13 per cent have only a single dose. Of the 138 people hospitalized, 78 per cent are fully unvaccinated, and another eight per cent have only one dose.
