KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man’s impulse buy at a local gas station has made him $500,000 richer.
B.C. Lottery Corporation (BCLC) says Domenico Di Giacomo bought a Saturday morning newspaper at the local Canco gas station, and decided to pick up a $500,000 Jackpot Scratch-and-Win ticket as well.
When he scratched it, he found he had won the half-million dollar jackpot.
Di Giacomo says he expects the big prize will help make his retirement a little easier and is already getting to work on his bucket list, having ordered a new motorcycle.
