Burnaby woman died in Thursday crash west of Kamloops: RCMP

KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a woman from Burnaby died in a head-on crash with a delivery truck just west of Kamloops Thursday (Aug. 19).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the crash took place at about 3:00 p.m. Thursday, along the Trans Canada Highway near the New Afton mine.
The victim was the driver of an eastbound red Toyota Echo that crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a delivery truck.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while a passenger in the car and the driver of the truck were taken to hospital with injuries.
