Mounties unharmed after machete, scythe attack near Salmon Arm
SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP in Salmon Arm took a woman into custody Monday (Aug. 16) after she allegedly attacked officers with a machete and a scythe.
Officers originally responded Monday afternoon to a report of a woman laying along Tappen Valley Road with a screwdriver in her hand, screaming and not making sense.
RCMP eventually tracked the woman down at a home, but say as they tried to make contact, she turned violent, throwing glass and metal objects at them.
The woman is then alleged to have struck one of the officers in the hand with a machete before rushing the two other Mounties armed with a scythe.
