Cherry Creek residents head home as evacuation order lifted for 166 properties

KAMLOOPS — The rain and cooler temperatures are having a big positive impact for residents of Cherry Creek.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District announced late Tuesday (Aug. 17) that an evacuation order for 166 properties in the community west of Kamloops has been downgraded to alert status.

That means residents of the following properties are allowed to go back home:

  • 5160 to 6349 Beaton Rd;
  • 5747 to 6452 Buckhorn Rd;
  • 5840 to 5884 Cherry Rd;
  • 728 and 733 Duffy Rd;
  • 4715 to 4805 Foley Rd;
  • 5844 to 6177 Gardi Rd;
  • 1472 to 1905 Greenstone Rd;
  • 5080 and 5096 Lazy Acres Rd;
  • 5368 to 5960 Rodeo Dr;
  • 8660 and 9900 Six Mile Hill Rd;
  • 4420 Sugarloaf Rd;
  • 4697 to 6628 Trans-Canada Hwy; and
  • any other properties located within the area denotes on this map:
