Equipment failure knocks out power for more than 1,500 customers in Juniper Ridge

UPDATE (6:15 p.m.): BC Hydro updated the cause of outage. It is now due to an equipment failure.

Crews are on site and power is estimated to return at 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 17).

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — BC Hydro crews are attending a fire-caused power outage in Juniper Ridge.

Approximately 1,515 customers are affected South of Valleyview Drive and east of Qu’Appelle Boulevard. Power has been off since 4 p.m. Monday (Aug. 16).
