Bear spotted in North Shore

Kamloops RCMP are requesting residents to please temporarily avoid an area on the North Shore following a report of a bear sighting.

Police were called to Renfrew Lane and Tranquille Road at around 12:48 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 16) where a young bear was observed.

The public is asked to avoid the area and give police and conservation officers the space to safely deal with the bear.
