B.C. reports 1,434 new COVID-19 cases over the week, more than half of them in Interior Health
KAMLOOPS — According to the latest update from health officials, Interior Health once again accounted for more than half of B.C.’s new COVID-19 cases over a three-day period.
Between Aug. 13 and 16, the province is reporting 1,434 new cases of COVID-19 – including four epi-linked cases – with 734 of them (51 per cent) in Interior Health.
There are 5,090 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C., with 2,982 of them in Interior Health. Provincially, 104 individuals are in hospital, with 47 in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
Over the past 72 hours, there was one new death in Fraser Health. The provincial total is now 1,780.
