Evacuation Order

TNRD issues evacuation order for Lower Nicola due to Lytton Creek wildfire

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has issued an evacuation order for areas west and north of the junction of Highway 97C and Highway 8 due to the Lytton Creek fire. This will also impact the Lower Nicola Indian Band.

RCMP have begun the process of evacuating this area. Both highways will be closed at the junction.

Evacuees without a place to stay should proceed the Emergency Support Services Reception Centre at Chilliwack Senior Secondary School, 46363 Yale Rd, Chilliwack.

The following properties are impacted:

The TNRD says residents in the described area, are expected to leave immediately.
