City of Kamloops issues evacuation alert for Pineview Valley, Versatile Industrial Park, and Iron Mask east of Coquihalla Highway

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops issued an evacuation alert effective 7 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 15) evening.

The Tremont Creek Wildfire poses a threat to the structures and residents for all 734 properties located in:

  • Iron Mask east of the Coquihalla Highway, including Lac Le Jeune Road to Copperhead Drive
  • the entire neighbourhood of Pineview Valley
  • Versatile Industrial Park
    (City of Kamloops).

The evacuation alert has been issued to prepare residents to evacuate their premises or property should it be found necessary.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation. However, they may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
