Man arrested after alleged pellet gun assault in Sicamous

SICAMOUS — Sicamous RCMP say a 43-year-old man from Revelstoke was arrested on Sunday (Aug. 8) after he allegedly shot two people with a pellet gun last month.

In a release, police say the investigation began after a reported assault with a weapon took place at a residence in the 400-block of Main Street in Sicamous during the morning of July 28.

A 24-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, who are both residents of Revelstoke, were allegedly shot with a pellet gun several times inside the residence. RCMP say both of the victims were treated in hospital and later released.

The 43-year-old man was released on an Undertaking to attend court in Salmon Arm, and his first appearance is schedule for Sept. 14.
