Indigenous leaders from Kamloops added to B.C. Chamber Board

KAMLOOPS — Two new Directors for the B.C. Chamber of Commerce are both from Kamloops and both have indigenous backgrounds.

Board Chair Joelle Westlund, in the Chamber’s weekly news bulletin, says both Korah Dewalt-Gagnon and George Casimir will provide strength and broader perspectives to the Board.

Dewalt-Gagnon is currently the First Nations Coordinator for New Gold’s New Afton Mine while Casimir has served as General Manager for Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Interior First Nations. Both are members of Tk’emlups to Secwepemc.
