Riverdogs’ season ends with 1-2 record at B.C. College Prep provincials

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Riverdogs’ College Prep season wrapped up over the weekend at the provincial championships.

The ‘Dogs finished the tournament 1-2 after entering the tournament fifth in the league during the regular season at 12-8.

Kamloops grabbed their first and only win in the tournament opener on Friday (Aug. 6) in a 5-1 win over Cloverdale. The afternoon affair was followed up with a 9-2 defeat by North Fraser in the evening.

The Riverdogs faced a winner-take-all round robin game on Saturday (Aug. 7) against Trail — with the winner advancing to the championship round — but they dropped a 9-5 affair to Trail.
