Care home residents returning to Chase

Aug 10, 2021 | 3:02 PM

CHASE – Interior Health (IH) says it’s begun moving care home residents back to Chase. The move comes after residents were moved with the community was placed under an evacuation alert because of the White Rock Lake wildfire.

IH says the homecoming will occur gradually to ensure appropriate staffing and resources are in place when residents arrive. Families will be notified directly as their loved ones are moved back.

Anyone wishing to confirm their loved one’s current location can call: 1 877 442-2001.

Normal weekday operations at the Chase Primary Health Care Centre and Chase Health Clinic were not impacted by the evacuation alerts, and IH says it’s monitoring the White Rock Lake wildfire situation closely.
