Evacuation Order Lifted

Evacuation order rescinded for Falkland and area

KAMLOOPS — An evacuation order was partially rescinded by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District Monday afternoon (Aug. 9).

Properties in Falkland and Area D that were impacted by the White Rock Lake wildfire may return home.

Properties downgraded to evacuation alert includes:

• 6547 to 6899 Six Mile Creek Rd.
• Falkland, including all properties along Chase-Falkland Road to Joyce Lake
• Cedar Hill area

The evacuation order remains in place for the area around Pinaus Lake.

Additionally, the evacuation alerts were rescinded for the hills west of, and above, Yankee Flats Road, north to Spa Creek, Glenemma, Silver Creek, Yankees Flats, and Deep Creek.
