KAMLOOPS — Interior Health (IH) has informed the City of Kamloops that two individuals who attended the Canada Games Aquatic Centre at the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC) July 30 afternoon have tested positive for COVID-19.

IH is contacting all people who attended the public swim from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. and instructing them to isolate for 14 days from that date.

The city said TCC staff are not required to isolate as the nature of their work keeps them physically distanced from guests of the facility, but they are monitoring for symptoms.

While the city said it’s no longer required to have people register for contract tracing purposes, a list of everyone at the pool during this period has been made available to IH as registrations is still required for the aquatic centre.
