Threats with glass

A woman was arrested after reportedly assaulting people and making threats with shards of glass on the 900-block on Southhill Street.

The woman allegedly fled on foot when officers attended Saturday evening, but was later located by the Police Dog Service Unit.

She was later released from cells but could face charges after the investigation concludes. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-26377.

False gun threat

A 33-year-old woman in a group allegedly put her hand into her purse and threatened to use a gun on a security guard after they asked them to leave the 400-block of Lansdowne Street Saturday evening.

Officers said they located and arrested two people nearby. One was released on scene, while the other was lodged in cells to sober up safely.

RCMP said no firearm was located and suspected drugs were seized for destruction.
