Former Blazers forward Brodi Stuart turning pro

KAMLOOPS — Former Blazer Brodi Stuart is turning pro.

Stuart has signed to play this season with the Steel Wings in Linz, Austria in the Alps Pro Hockey League — which also includes teams in Italy and Slovenia.

He played three seasons with the Blazers but was sidelined by injury for his 20 year old season and worked with the team as an assistant coach.

Stuart will leave for Austria on Saturday and join his new team for exhibition games next week.
