Kamloops sees slight decrease in weekly COVID-19 cases, Central Okanagan nearly triples again

KAMLOOPS — The latest breakdown of COVID-19 cases by Local Health Area (LHA) shows Kamloops’ COVID-19 cases slightly decreased in the last week.
The map from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) for the week of July 25 to 31 shows 26 cases in the Kamloops area, down from 29 the previous week.
The Central Okanagan, however, nearly tripled its cases for the second straight week.
It’s reporting 450 new cases, up from 153 last week. The week prior, the Central Okanagan had 53 new cases.
