Kamloops RCMP release photo of ‘person-of-interest” connected to sexual assault investigation

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are hopeful the public will help them to identify a person of interest in an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

Police were called to the area of 5th Avenue and Victoria street just after midnight on July 18. A woman reported a man had sexually assaulted her as she got into her vehicle.

The woman was able to honk her horn and scare the suspect away, but not before he had taken her cellphone. The suspect fled towards an alley between Seymour street and Victoria street..

Police have been able pull together surveillance video from the area and have released an image of a person they would like to speak with.
