Kamloops lottery retailer awarded $35K seller’s prize from BCLC

KAMLOOPS — When someone strikes it rich on the Lotto Max, it’s not just the player who gets the prize.

Sam Aggerwal is the owner of Mcgoo’s Smokes and Stuff in Northhills Mall. On Wednesday, he was presented with a cheque for $35,000.

This amount represents the biggest Seller’s Prize ever awarded by the BC Lottery Corporation. He was pretty excited to hear he’d sold the winning ticket.

“Oh, I was pretty excited. My name will go down in history in Kamloops,” Aggerwal tells CFJC Today. “My Lottery manager called me right in the morning. I had the goosebumps, I told all my employees.”
