Parksville woman wins $3 million in Lotto 6/49 Jackpot

PARKSVILLE — A life-changing lottery win was celebrated with champagne and dinner for a Parksville woman.

Frances Lloyd won $3 million when she matched all six numbers from the June 19, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw.

“I have always dreamt of winning. This is my big pot!” Lloyd said in a release from BCLC.

She celebrated with a dinner and champagne toasts and said she plans to gift some of her prize to her family after buying a new home.

“I don’t quite believe it yet. It’s a big thing to win,” Lloyd said.

Her winning ticket was purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart on the Island Highway in Parksville.

The $6 million jackpot was split with a winner in Atlantic Canada.
