Suspected impaired driver with infant passenger nabbed in Valleyview
KAMLOOPS — RCMP officers never know what they will find on the streets of Kamloops at 3:30 a.m. Friday morning, it was a suspected impaired driver with a baby in the back seat.
Cst. Crystal Evelyn says an officer on patrol in Valleyview early Friday morning noticed a car travelling well below the speed limit on Vicars Road.
The Mountie stopped the vehicle and noticed a baby in the backseat.
“A roadside breath test was demanded by police, but the woman allegedly refused to provide an adequate sample, an act which carries the same penalty as providing a sample that registers a fail reading,” noted Evelyn.
