TNRD announces 13-property evacuation near Westwold

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is evacuating properties near the White Rock Lake fire.

The 13 properties evacuated Sunday night (July 18) are near Westwold, along Douglas Lake Road.

• 7820 to 8640 Douglas Lake Rd; and
• any properties within the red boundary in the above map

Anyone residing in these 13 properties is asked to register with Emergency Support Service (ESS), either in person after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre in Kamloops, or online.

There is no lodging available in Kamloops. Evacuees who cannot stay with family or friends are asked to report to the Salvation Army Building at 1480 Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna.
