B.C. Wildfire Service: Mowhokam Creek wildfire now part of Lytton Creek Complex

KAMLOOPS — The 400-hectare, out of control Mowhokam Creek wildfire north of Boston Bar is now part of the Lytton Creek Complex.

Along with the Mowhokam Creek blaze, B.C. Wildfire Service said on Saturday (July 17) that the Lytton Creek Complex now consists of the Lytton Creek (11,060 hectares), George Road (1,035 hectares), and Tremont Creek (4,000 hectares) wildfires.

B.C. Wildfire Service said the resources assigned to the Lytton Creek Complex will be prioritized based on fire activity needs.

Smoke will be highly visible from surrounding communities.
