With 100 Mile House on alert, Interior Health begins clearing patients out of local hospital

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Interior Health says it is conducting a partial evacuation of its hospital in 100 Mile House.

In an email to CFJC Today, IH says six long-term care residents, two community care clients and nine acute care patients are being transported from the 100 Mile District General Hospital to other facilities.

IH says members of the community are still encouraged to attend the hospital if they need emergency medical care.

100 Mile House was placed on evacuation alert Wednesday.

The community’s COVID-19 immunization has been cancelled and anyone with appointments for immunization will be contacted shortly to reschedule.
