Kamloops man arrested on robbery warrant, has ties to Aberdeen Mall robbery
KAMLOOPS — A 30-year-old man was arrested on an unendorsed warrant of robbery out of Kamloops, and on a warrant for failure to comply with probation out of New Westminster.
Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious man running from security guards and carrying unidentified items near Highway 5A and Rogers Way on Tuesday (July 13).
Officers attended the area and arrested Kyle Jordon Deline of Kamloops on Dalhousie Drive following a foot pursuit.
Deline was wanted on a warrant issued earlier this month following an investigation into an armed robbery on April 19, 2021, near Aberdeen Mall. Around 12:45 p.m. that day, a man allegedly entered a retail store on the 1300-block of West Trans-Canada Highway, stole merchandise, and revealed what appeared to be a firearm in his waistband. They were observed running around Laval and Notre Dame Drive, causing a nearby school to be placed in a hold and secure while police searched the area.
