Barnes Lake area evacuated; Highway 1 corridor west of Savona under alert

ASHCROFT, B.C. — The 50 properties put on evacuation alert due to the Tremont Creek wildfire east of Ashcroft are now under evacuation order.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District says the 780-hectare wildfire has become more of a threat to the properties in the Barnes Lake area.
Occupants of these properties must leave immediately:
- 3165 Barnes Lake Rd to 3820 Barnes Lake Rd;
- 2000 Hwy 97C to 2480 Hwy 97C;
- 2606 Kirkland Ranch Rd;
- 4020 Studhorse Rd;
- 1886 and 1924 Woods Creek FSR;
- 4380 Y D Ranch Rd to 4499 Y D Ranch Rd; and
- Any other properties located within the area denoted below:
