Interior Health leads B.C. with 42 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend; RIH outbreak stable
VICTORIA — B.C. is getting very close to a vaccination benchmark, as the provincial health ministry reports 79.9 per cent of all adults in B.C. have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The total is included in a summary of COVID-19 activity over the weekend. It shows 78.8 per cent of all eligible British Columbians have received their first dose, with 44.6 per cent getting two doses.
There were 123 new cases of the virus found over the past three days, with Interior Health (IH) leading the way with 42 of those cases.
Province-wide, there are 66 people in hospital and 14 in intensive care with COVID-19.
