Royal Inland COVID-19 outbreak grows to nine; 17 new cases in IH Wednesday
KAMLOOPS — Interior Health (IH) says the COVID-19 outbreak at Royal Inland Hospital has grown to nine cases.
The outbreak, declared June 30 on 6 South, has been contained to patients and has not spread to staff. Six South is a surgical ward.
In an email to CFJC Today, IH says it has been able re-open a portion of the ward to some new admissions.
The RIH outbreak is one of three active outbreaks in B.C. acute care facilities.
