Search and rescue teams seek missing Quesnel senior

QUESNEL, B.C. — The search is on for a missing 70-year-old Quesnel man.

Norman Lawrence of Quesnel hasn’t been seen since last Thursday says his friend, Michel Zuber.

“He was out looking for some trails to set up a tree stand,” he tells CKPG Today. “He went missing about 10 kilometres north of the Dunkley sawmill.”

He says search and rescue teams from around the province are in on the search.

Zuber says he thinks Lawrence likely lost his sense of direction while out of the woods and is very concerned because of the difficult terrain in the area.
