Elderly man dies after Horse Lake-area crash

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — An elderly man involved in a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Horse Lake Road at McMillan Road passed away Friday (June 11) afternoon.
According to RCMP, witness said the man was heading towards 100 Mile House in his van and started to slow down considerably, weave back and forth, then exiting the roadway to the left and colliding with some small trees. Police said the man was in medical distress when they and paramedics arrived.
Witnesses on scene attended to the vehicle and immediately CPR on the man, which was continued by BC Ambulance and 100 Mile Fire Rescue when they arrived.
The man was determined to be deceased after B.C. Air Ambulance arrived. 100 Mile House RCMP contacted the B.C. Coroner’s office and are assisting them with their investigation.
