Upper Nicola Band and Adams Lake Indian Band receive federal heritage funding

KAMLOOPS — Two local First Nations have received funding from the federal government to preserve their community history.
Library and Archives Canada announced that the Upper Nicola Band will receive $44,148 and Adams Lake Indian Band will receive $24,895 as of the Documentary Heritage Communities Program.
The funding will assist Upper Nicola Band and Adams Lake Indian Band to collect, record, and preserve their cultural heritage for the benefit of future generations.
