Large fire burns home east of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – There was a major house fire along Hook Road just east of Kamloops Tuesday night (June 8).

The Pritchard Volunteer Fire Department was called out to the blaze which was clearly visible from the Trans Canada highway.

Social media images show the fire was intense and sent large plumes of smoke into the air.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the fire.

Images suggest the house was severely damaged by the flames.
