KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops-Thompson School District isn’t the only B.C. district getting a new superintendent this summer.

The district has announced administrator Trish Smillie has left to take the superintendent’s position with the Kootenay Lake School District based in Nelson.

Smillie had been serving as the Kamloops-Thompson district’s assistant superintendent of elementary schools.

“School District 8 is lucky to have Trish,” said Board Chair Rhonda Kershaw in a news release. “She has an excellent skill set and a depth of experience that will be an asset to Kootenay Lakes.”
