Interior Health warns Kamloops drug users of purple powder laced with fentanyl, benzodiazepines

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health has issued an alert for a toxic drug being sold in Kamloops.

The drug is a purple powder sold as down, and contains a high toxicity level of fentanyl, as well as benzodiazepines.

IH says in addition to the risk of overdose, users risk prolonged sedation – even with smaller amounts.

Users are advised to get their drugs checked through ASK Wellness on Tranquille Road.
